Johnny Thomas' attorney calls bribery charges false
MILWAUKEE- Supervisor Johnny Thomas isn't talking, but his lawyer read TODAY'S TMJ4 a brief statement.
TODAY'S TMJ4 knows the corruption allegations have forced Thomas to suspend his campaign for Milwaukee city comptroller.
His attorney Mike Maistelman says Thomas plans to fight the charges, saying:
Supervisor John Thomas is innocent of these charges. The DA has unfortunately taken unrelated events and forced an unreasonably negative and false story on top of the facts. As the process unfolds and all the facts come out, John will be vindicated and cleared of all charges.
Thomas has not made a court appearance, but he is expected in court for an initial court appearance next Wednesday, February 8.
