Several people arrested, 2 MPD officers injured from multiple fights at James Madison H.S.
MILWAUKEE - Eight people have been arrested for disorderly conduct; three for resisting and obstructing an officer after multiple fights broke out at James Madison High School, according to MPD spokeswoman Anne E. Schwartz.
Police say two MPD officers were injured as a result of those fights, but did not require medical treatment. Police say they had to use an electronic control device to stop the threat.
Authorities report one officer was kicked in the face by an 18-year-old female student.
Police say their assistance was called around 2:15 p.m. Friday to the school at 81st and Florist Ave. to handle the fights.
TODAY'S TMJ4's Cody Holyoke reports that MPS is looking into who and what started these fights.
MPS says they may want to expel certain students and put them into alternative schools. MPS told TODAY'S TMJ4 they want to send a message saying these school fights aren't acceptable.
