Brewers sign K-Rod to 1-year deal

MILWAUKEE - The Milwaukee Brewers say they have signed one of their key relievers to a new contract.
According to a spokesman, the Brewers have signed right-hander Francisco Rodriguez to a one-year deal, avoiding salary arbitration.
The pitcher known as "K-Rod" went 4-0 with a 1.86 ERA for the Brewers in their 2011 National League Central Division Championship season.
The Brewers declined to give salary details.
