Giants 37, Packers 20
Packers fans heartbroken, angry after playoff loss to Giants
GREEN BAY - It's not a Lambeau Leap to assume Packers fans aren't just unhappy.
They're heartbroken.
Their hopes for a record-extending 14th NFL championship will have to wait until at least the 2012 season.
Many fans left Lambeau Field early, filled with disappointment in the Packers' 37-20 loss to the New York Giants.
While some shared their opinions about what went wrong, others are already looking forward to next year.
"McCarthy totally blew it," said Dale Larsen of Milwaukee. "He did not stick with a running game. He just did not do it right."
"Once a Packers fan, always a Packers fan," explained another fan to TODAY'S TMJ4's Annie Scholz.
The morning after was just as depressing for fans, including one who was departing from Mitchell International Airport on Monday.
"Really sad, very disappointed. Really wasn't expected us to have that loss. I really thought we'd play a lot better than we did," Melissa Gordon told to TODAY'S TMJ4's Melissa McCrady at Mitchell International Airport on Monday morning.
According to McCrady, Giants fans flying back to New York commented on the positive way Packers fans treated them while they were in Green Bay.
