GREEN BAY - Players from both the Green Bay Packers and their NFC divisional playoff opponents, the New York Giants, have reached out to give solace after the death of the son of Packers offensive coordinator Joe Philbin.

Michael Philbin's body was recovered from the Fox River in Oshkosh on Monday.

Packers tight end Jermichael Finley tweeted "Life throws the bad things at us to make the good things all the more worthwhile."

Packers offensive lineman T.J. Lang, who lost his father within the last week, tweeted "As children, we all have to someday say goodbye to our parents, but a parent should never have to say goodbye to their child."

His fellow lineman, Josh Sitton, added "Please say a prayer for the Philbin family" on his Twitter account.

New York Giants defensive lineman Justin Tuck tweeted "Our prayers go out to the Philbin family and Packer nation for their loss."
