MILWAUKEE- School's out this week, but the Speedbusters are still working to keep kids safe.

The intersection of 16th and Keefe is a four way stop -- and it's only one lane in each direction.

Which you might think would keep it relatively quiet, and you would think wrong.

Cars blast through this intersection on Milwaukee's north side -- right in front of the Keefe Avenue Elementary School.

A parent called Speedbusters to check things out -- after one too many close calls between kids and cars.

The crossing guard did not have permission to talk on camera -- but told TODAY'S TMJ4 speeders are out of control there and that puts the kids she watches over in danger.

Something one mom witnesses every day when she picks up her kids. She told TODAY'S TMJ4, "too much speeding. Kids getting hurt, kids losing their lives because for pedestrians, cars just can't stop fast enough."

Which is why people who care for these kids hope this visit from Speedbusters serves as a lesson to drivers who would ignore a school zone.
