Packers LB Erik Walden has court hearing Tuesday morning
GREEN BAY- Packers linebacker Erik Walden has a court hearing Tuesday morning.
It's a final pre-trial conference for a disorderly conduct charge stemming from a Nov. 25 dispute between the 26-year-old Walden and his live-in girlfriend in their town of Lawrence apartment.
The charge, which carries a maximum penalty of 90 days in jail and a $1,000 fine.
Authorities say Walden's girlfriend was treated for a head laceration at a Green Bay hospital.
Brown County District Attorney John Zakowski said he chose a charge of disorderly conduct, rather than battery, against Walden because there was no evidence he intended to hurt the woman.
Walden has started all 15 games this season and is tied for 3rd on the Packers in terms of sacks with three.
