Manitowoc woman charged with drunk driving crash that killed family
TWO RIVERS, Wis. (AP) -- A Manitowoc woman has been charged with connection with a van crash that killed an elderly couple and their daughter last month.
Forty-three-year-old Becky C. Holly was charged Wednesday with eight felonies, including three charges of homicide by intoxicated use of a vehicle. The charges carry a maximum penalty of 60 years in prison.
Manitowoc County authorities say the three victims were watching a roofing project last month when Holly's van left the roadway and struck them. The victims were 79-year-old Lawrence Gerroll, his 75-year-old wife Lou Gerroll and 48-year-old daughter, Joan Gerroll.
A WLUK-TV report (http://bit.ly/seUuPf ) cites a state lab report that says Holly's blood-alcohol content was 0.209 percent, or 2.5 times the legal limit.
Online court records didn't immediately list a defense attorney for Holly on Wednesday.
