Storm Team 4
Chilly Thursday, warmer weekend
MILWAUKEE - People in Southeastern Wisconsin might be breaking out the winter jackets, hats and gloves Thursday morning, though they won't need them during daylight hours this weekend.
Storm Team 4Caster Scott Steele predicts that temperatures won't reach the 40's in most of the area on Thursday, and snow or rain could fall.
"Low pressure is wrapping in much chillier air from behind as it departs the region," said Steele.
"The difference in pressure between that low and an approaching high will keep our winds whipping out of the Northwest. Sun will break through the clouds, but there could still be enough instability to pop a few rain or snow showers, though there won't be any significant precipitation."
However, Steele gives us good news about what he predicts to be a sunny weekend.
"Temperatures will begin trending upward with above average readings in the 50's by the weekend."
