MADISON - Only one person was arrested during the annual Freakfest Halloween party on State St., the Madison Police Department said Sunday.
An estimated 40,000 people flooded Madison's downtown area Saturday night.
Even though the event has gotten a lot calmer in recent years, Madison Police are still taking extra precautions to keep crowds safe. In addition to placing more officers on the streets, the Department used a special truck to boost cell phone reception for communication purposes.
