Neumann releases statement on Baldwin entering U.S Senate race
MADISON - Republican candidate for U.S Senate Mark Neumann has responded to the news that Democratic congresswoman Tammy Baldwin is running for Herb Kohl's vacant Senate seat.
In a news release, Neumann criticized Baldwin saying, "She’s voted for virtually the entire Obama agenda, except for when it wasn’t liberal enough."
In the release, Neumann says, "There could be no greater contrast to my own plans to cut government spending, balance the budget, and repeal ObamaCare so we can get the private sector growing again. I’m a conservative, she’s a liberal - it's that simple."
The independent National Journal last year rated Tammy Baldwin as the #1 most liberal member of Congress. She was tied with 6 other members.
Mark Neumann is the only announced Republican candidate for Senate.
