Oak Creek opened play with a 54-0 victory over Milwaukee Hamilton. That's a lot different from last year.
"I think number one, they wanted to make a statement that we can play better than we did (last year)," says coach Mike Bartholomew. "Their number one goal is to stay together as a team and so far, so good knock on wood."
The motto for this year, the Oak Creek Knights, fight...united.
"We were definitely very athletic last year, and it was a disappointment with the final result," says running back Lincoln Wylie. "So, we're looking forward to bouncing back this year."
"Yeah we had a lot to prove this year," says quarterback Nick Marks. "We were supposed to be good last year and we didn't come out that good. Hopefully this year will be a lot better."
