Mercury Marine looks to hire 150 in Fond du Lac
FOND DU LAC, Wis. (AP) -- Mercury Marine says it's planning to hire 150 workers in the next two months at its Fond du Lac facilities.
The maker of boat engines will host a job fair July 21 in Fond du Lac. The positions are in manufacturing and production.
Pay starts at $10 per hour and increases to $10.50 after 90 days. Company officials say entry-level employees will have the chance to move into positions represented by the union.
People interested in attending the job fair must first apply on Mercury's website. Then they have to print out the form and bring it to the job fair for an interview.
A WLUK-TV report (http://bit.ly/n2fAr2 ) says Mercury Marine has about 2,300 workers in Fond du Lac. That includes about 300 new employees hired this year.
