Racine's Chris Maragos Has A Unique Idea
Faith & Football Explored This Weekend
Racine's Chris Marogos knows that being a pro athlete, is a long shot. And not promised to anyone.
In his words, he walked on at Wisconsin. And as an undrafted rookie free agent, "walked on" in the NFL and right onto the San Francisco 49ers roster.
This weekend, Maragos teams with old Badgers teammates J.J. Watt, Jim Leonhard, and DeAndre Levy along with a few other NFL'ers to host a football camp in Kenosha at Indian Trails High School. You can go to chrismaragos.com for more details.
That's impressive enough. But Maragos wants to get across to campers that it's more than athletic skills that's needed in life. You need faith, and a sense of purpose. And that's why his camp is unique, and something to attend and learn life lessons.
