Summerfest To Give Out 100,000 Free Tickets
MILWAUKEE (AP) -- Spring may still be around the corner, but it's not too early to start looking ahead to Summerfest.
Officials for the 11-day music event in Milwaukee are hoping to pump up interest by offering more than 100,000 free Summerfest tickets.
Few additional details were released Wednesday, but officials advised that one of the best ways to keep updated is to "like" Summerfest's Facebook page.
The music event along Lake Michigan bills itself as the world's largest music festival. It will run every day from June 29 through July 10 except for the Fourth of July.
Among Summerfest's promotions will be the giveaway of 44,000 opening-day tickets, in honor of its 44th anniversary.
The opening-day acts will include Hall & Oates, Meatloaf, Buddy Guy, Matisyahu and Max Weinberg.
