MADISON - Recall efforts are happening across Wisconsin to remove both Governor Scott Walker and some of the state's senators, including a Democrat who has left the state.

The web site recallscottwalker.info aims to get Governor Walker out of office.

It would need 540,000 signatures to make that happen, a number equal to the number of votes from the last election for governor, which Walker won over Milwaukee Mayor Tom Barrett.

However, the state constitution says an elected official has to be in office for one year before they can be recalled.

That means the earliest a recall petition against Walker could begin would be in January 2012.

Efforts have already begun to recall Pleasant Prairie Democratic Senator Bob Wirch and River Hills Republican Senator Alberta Darling.
