House of Rep. Sensenbrenner Re-Elected

MILWAUKEE (AP) -- U.S. Rep. Jim Sensenbrenner has won re-election to another two-year term in Congress.
The conservative Republican represents the 5th Congressional District, which covers much of the Milwaukee suburbs.
Sensenbrenner defeated Democrat Todd Kolosso, a 39-year-old owner of a commercial real estate business in Menomonee Falls, and Independent Robert Raymond. With 4 percent of precincts reporting, Sensenbrenner had 70 percent of the vote compared to 26 percent for Kolosso and 4 percent for Raymond.
The 67-year-old Sensenbrenner was first elected to Congress in 1978 and has developed a reputation as a fiscal conservative who is tough on crime. The resident of Menomonee Falls is a member of the judiciary committee and the committee on science and technology.
