UWM Students Use Tweetup To Connect
MILWAUKEE - Panther pride is growing online.
Students are using a new social network campaign to strengthen their campus community.
It's called the UWM Tweetup.
It's a way of bringing the university community together to share their stories about college life.
"It's really about being a part of a culture, and why we believe not only that we're (students) at UWM, but UWM is really a part of us," said Tanya Joosten.
Joosten maintains that social media including Twitter, Facebook and YouTube are the best way to reach students.
