Harley Workers to Review Contract Offer

  • Print

Milwaukee--Harley Davidson workers will finally see the company's final contract offer Tuesday.

The workers will then vote on the contract, which is expected to include major concessions, September 13th.

Harley says if workers reject the deal, they'll move production jobs out of state.

Workers told TODAYS TMJ4 they're glad they'll finally know what the company is asking for, but they are not optimistic.

"It's all uncertainty. We don't know anything. We're just waiting for Tuesday," said one worker.  He wouldn't say if he thought workers would vote yes on concessions.

The Wisconsin Department of Commerce is also working on a package to convince Harley to keep manufacturing jobs in state.  Commerce Secretary Tony Hozeny calls the package, "competitive and aggressive."
