Well, once again we have a controversy at this year's Cream Puff Eating Contest and once again they changed things up again. 

Last year they surprised us with the 5 pound cream puff.  This year they made fun of us for whining so much about it so they gave us 3 one pound puffs in a box...they call it the snack pack at the Fair. 

After explaining the rules I asked if we had to use our mouth to open the box.  They said no, we could use our hands to open the box, but after that it is hands free as usual..easy enough.

When they said go I plunged my face into the puffs and implemented my new strategy and boy did it work.  Sorry, can't tell you...top secret..Lol!

As usual, the judges congregate on the other side of the table; away me and focus on that side.  I could hear them saying it was a race down there so I kicked it up a notch. 

When I was done, I stood up and put my hands up...sound familiar?  Same thing happened 3 years ago when I was robbed of the title. 

As I am standing there, they see me and say nothing so I go back to eating the few remaining clumps of cream.  I stand up again and nothing. 

However, the guy 3 down from me (and near the judges) was standing up and holding his box as he licked the remaining cream. 

I am standing there waiting for them to declare me the winner and the crowd is cheering but they say it looks like we have a controversy and then rule his box was cleaner than mine.  What?! 

Of course it was.  He was licking his clean as I was standing there waiting for them to say I won and my box was still on the table where it belonged. 

Not only was I ignored, but the guy they declared the winner was breaking the rules.  The crowd turned ugly as we all questioned the judges. 

It was all in fun, but the rules always seem to be changing.  The guy who won was a new DJ in town...so I am guessing the judges wanted the new kid to win.  That is just my theory.

I had a blast as always and once I saw the video of my effort, I could not stop laughing at how gross I am as I eat these things. 

After the competition, many people walked up and said I was robbed of the title like 3 years ago but I just smiled.  They do not want me to win...lol!  I am currently appealing the ruling...(kidding.)

I am thinking of retiring from these eating competitions because they are demanding on the mind, body and family.  The training is intense and exhausting.  I am sure I will change my mind since I have become known as the Eating Weatherman in Milwaukee. 

As I walked out of the Y this morning a lady said good luck in the competition today and when I walked into the bank another gentleman said "Hey Brian, bring home the title today!"  I am flattered that so many people care about how fast I can eat.

Remember, this is all fun, but at the same time I am very competitive and if I am expected to win, I better win.  I did my job..it's too bad I was not given the title and the rules keep changing.  I better call my therapist!  Remember, I am having fun..I am really not upset, but just pleading my case and I can't stand cream, but I do it for the people and I have let them down again.
