MILWAUKEE - One of Tiger Woods' many mistresses is in Milwaukee and will perform this weekend at Silk Exotic on Milwaukee's northwest side.
Joslyn James, 32, sat down with TODAY'S TMJ4 reporter Heather Shannon to discuss her relationship with Woods and her reason for being in Milwaukee, just an hour away from where Tiger is playing at the PGA Championship at Whistling Straits.
"I go where I'm told," James said when asked why she's in Milwaukee.
Lately, that's been to cities where Tiger plays tournaments. James is an adult film star and stripper. But, she said, despite dancing at Silk this weekend, she's not following him.
"People are going to make their own assumptions and have their own ideas about stuff no matter what I say," she said.
James also talked openly about her relationship with Woods. She said they were together for three years, and knew he was married and was having children with his wife. James said she met Woods in the Las Vegas strip club where she worked.
"It was a bad choice. A bad choice. You can't help who you fall in love with sometimes, but I should not have let it go on as long as I did," she said when Shannon asked if the affair was a mistake.
"How do you think this was kept quiet for so long?" Shannon asked.
"Because I was very secretive. I was very private," James responded.
James hired Hollywood attorney Gloria Allred, who has represented several high profile mistresses, to represent her after the scandal broke.
"My life had been flipped upside down and I was lied to by someone that I cared deeply about and that I was madly in love with," she said.
"Did you think you think you were the only one?" Shannon asked.
"He told me I was the only person. And that's why I got out of the adult business, because he didn't want me being with anybody else," James said.
"Have you talked to him?" Shannon asked.
"We don't really have anything to talk about," James said. "He knew what he did. I knew what I did."
James is from a small town in upstate New York, but lives in L.A. now. She said she doesn't hate Tiger and wants the best for him.
She is performing at Silk Exotic Wednesday at midnight, Thursday at 8 and midnight, Friday at 8 and midnight, and Saturday 8 and midnight.
