Get Sexy Boot Camp

By Courtny Gerrish

BAY VIEW - If you have one hour we've found a workout that will change your body. The creator of "Get Sexy Boot Camp" is adamant this really works, and it all starts with feeling sexy. You lift, make time for cardio but it doesn't always work in the weight loss department. Talk to the people sweating it out at this boot camp; they say the program works. You could call it torture. Or as one woman puts it, "..an hour of absolute butt kicking." Or it might just be the best motivation you've ever had. Eleanor Sangalang tried everything to get her body back after having a baby. This boot camp worked. Sangalang says, "I saw results as soon as three weeks." Who wouldn't with B.J. Gaddour pushing you. He's a personal trainer and the founder of "Get Sexy Boot Camp." He sees it as the answer to people's struggles. Gaddour says, "we'll give you exactly what you need to get results, and then it's really on you to make it happen." Members sweat it out in class three times a week. They also change the way they eat. Nutrition is part of the program. Coleen Barnes says, "I've had so much trouble since I hit the midlife situation. I can't lose weight. It came down to eating the right things at the right times." The class is based on interval training. It helps people burn fat in large amounts. "My knees were sore, my back was sore," says Paul Lundh. Then he signed up for boot camp and dropped 50 pounds in two months. "I needed to change my life to extend my life for myself and my kids." Lundh's wife Lisa lost 25 pounds. It takes dedication, but everyone in this class has accomplished something. One woman claims it changed her life and she's never going back. The group mentality leaves no room to back out of a workout. Gaddour says, "they're really really pushing. If they were on their own they would stop, and they can't stop when there's people next to them just dripping." And that whole "sexy" thing, does it work for everybody? Dr. Kayt Havens says, "I was really interested in whether or not that was going to be effective for older women, and you know what, it is! It really is!" "Get Sexy Boot Camp" is a relatively new program. There are four to six week sessions in Bay view. Costs range from 240 to 360 dollars. Nutrition is included and members support each other by e-mail and blogs. For more info check out Get Sexy Boot Camps.
