Drivers zooming down Cleveland Avenue on Milwaukee's south side
MILWAUKEE- An extreme speeding problem got our attention this week.
The wind did a number on Dixie Williamson's trees this weekend, but that's nothing compared to the numbers speeders post on her street.
The street: Cleveland Avenue, between 43rd and 48th; the limit: 25 miles per hour.
But Dixie says cars are constantly driving faster than that.
"Oh, I say at least 40, if not more..." says Dixie Williamson.
Dixie's neighbor asked Speedbusters for help -- after a speed-related crash. She wrote, "I've always just sort of dealt with the difficulty crossing the street, turning into my driveway, and just generally living on a dangerous street, but the totaling of my car is the last straw."
Dixie and her neighbor hope a visit from Speedbusters convinces drivers in that area to obey the 25 mile per hour limit.
