Speedbusters
Catching speeders along Milwaukee, Greenfield border
MILWAUKEE- Tonight the Speedbusters headed to a street with a couple of unique problems that left one mom very frustrated and very worried.
When Speedbusters took a first look at Honey Creek Drive on Milwaukee's far south side -- Speedbusters thought it would be a bust.
But the suburban splendor did not last long, just as tipster -- Gretchen Huth -- promised. "I've yelled at cars. My kids have yelled. It gets pretty bad. I've almost been hit a couple times going into my driveway," said Huth.
Her driveway dumps out onto Honey Creek Drive, a residential street -- but it's also a direct route between W. Grange Ave and W. Ramsey Ave -- which makes it a popular short cut. And a popular place to push the pedal down a little farther than allowed.
Compounding the problem -- when speeders became a problem for Gretchen, she had no idea who to call for help, Greenfield or Milwaukee police. Which is why she turned to Speedbusters for help.
And while Speedbusters can't write tickets to drivers, Speedbusters can at least give him a little incentive to slow down.
