STURTEVANT- On the outskirts of Sturtevant, Highway 11 becomes Durand Avenue and the speed limit drops from 50 to 30 miles an hour.
Though traffic doesn't always follow, just ask Kristen Moore.
"I think I've seen people try to race out here, actually," she said. "You can definitely hear them, revving their engines and going way too fast."
There was no drag racing during Speedbusters' lunch hour visit, but speeds were certainly higher than safety would suggest.
Kristen Moore says it's worse in the evenings. It's enough to make this mom of a 4-year-old make rules about where her little one can play.
"Not in the front, no. We always go in the back," she said. "She's not allowed to cross where the sidewalk is."
All because drivers through this little Racine County town refuse to slow it down.
