MILWAUKEE- The popularity of online dating has grown exponentially in recent years, and now it seems to be getting easier. Some online subscribers have opted for outsourcing.
"Done for you Dating" is done with a representative who will interview you, help you build your profile and then filter through and answer e-mails for you.
Some wonder, however, if this type of service is taking online dating a step too far in the impersonal direction.
Dr. Judy Bruett IS A psychotherapist who has been counseling couples for three decades and seen a lot of changes over the years.
"It feels so... Even one step more removed impersonal than regular online dating," said Bruett.
Online dater Suzie Nelson sees it as an easy way out.
"If you're not willing to do the work then maybe you shouldn't be in a relationship," said Nelson.
"Done for you Dating" runs at $20 an hour, according to the website, and has a market for busy professionals.
In the end, Dr. Bruett thinks everyone should experience the whole process of dating.
"I think the process can be really, really helpful to people, the actual process of dating--the good, the bad, and the ugly," said Bruett.
