  • Buzz Williams has led Marquette to an unexpectedly successful season. That's nothing new for the Golden Eagles coach, who has been proving skeptics wrong his entire life. Video by tmj4.com

Buzz Williams leads Marquette into the NCAA tournament Thursday night against Washington.  The Golden Eagles weren't picked to do much this season (picked 12th in a Big East preseason poll), but that's nothing new for Williams.

He took out a loan to buy a suit and fly to the Final Four, hunting for a job.  He passed out makeshift business cards, wearing the same suit for three days, got his first shot and then slept in a U-Haul for a couple nights waiting to start that first job.

When he was hired by Marquette last year to replace Tom Crean, Williams was an unknown.  That has changed.  In just two seasons with the Golden Eagles, Buzz Williams is making a name for himself.  Click on the video bar to see his conversation with TODAY'S TMJ4's Rod Burks.
