Special AssignmentSpeedbusters: PewaukeeBy Jay OlstadPEWAUKEE - Little Alex Moser riding on his tricycle isn't the kind of driver that his dad wants to slow down. "We've noticed progressively the speed has been picking up more and more," said Jeff Moser. The Moser family lives on Westfield Way in the Village of Pewaukee. He contacted Speedbusters after he saw a lot of people going over the 25-mile an hour speed limit. "There are a lot of small kids in this area," he said." He's got two boys. They got two, a young girl and a young boy. I've got two boys, one and three.” And that's why he and other parents are worried about speeding drivers. "The last thing we want to happen is something we regret later on." So we used our Speedbusters gun to see how fast people were going. "34,"said TODAY’S TMJ4-HD reporter Jay Olstad. Although we didn't see a whole lot of speeders out here, Jeff isn't imagining things. We spoke with the police and they're out here patrolling and they also see speeders. That's why the Village of Pewaukee is researching the intersection where the Moser’s live to see if a stop sign is needed. The village didn't immediately return my phone message. But Jeff worries his concerns will be brushed aside. "If it's a cost issue, I'll buy the sign. It's not a big deal," he said. While he waits, his request to all of us is not new but just as heartfelt. "Slow down. It's pretty simple," he said.
