It's a Christmas edition of our exclusive one on one interview with Aaron Rodgers. Aaron talks to Newsradio 620 WTMJ's Wayne Larrivee about his favorite holiday jingle, and his holiday shopping technique.
CHRIS: "Hey Aaron! Fruitcakes, gingerbread men, eggnog--that's what we like around here. What's your favorite holiday treat?"
AARON: "I love eggnog. My dad had some in the fridge when we were growing up, but, sweets, I'm a sucker for sweets. I love a good apple pie, a la mode.. that's probably my top. A little caramel over that ice cream? No, I kinda like it just plain.
THREE KIDS: "Hello Mr. Rodgers! Hi, my name is Paul. Hello, my name is Mary. Hi, my name's Sam. What is your favorite Christmas song? Do you play any musical instruments? What Christmas tradition would you like to share with your children one day? Thank you, Merry Christmas!"
AARON: "Ok, my favorite Christmas song is Feliz Navidad. I do play the guitar and piano a little bit, and I enjoy watching two movies at Christmas: 'White Christmas' and 'It's a Wonderful Life'. We've watched those for as long as I can remember. So as long as the black and white and the early 1940's movie doesn't bother them I'd like to keep that tradition goin."
MIKE AND NATE: "Hi I'm Mike, and I'm Nate. We're from Two Guys Automotive in Milwaukee. And our wives do most of our Christmas shopping for us. We were just wondering if you do your own Christmas shopping?"
AARON: "I do like to Christmas shop. It's a little difficult going out at times to do it unimpeded."
WAYNE: "You think!"
AARON: "But thankfully the internet helps with a lot of the shopping, so I do a lot on the internet, but there's definitely some things I have to go out and just gotta pick my times." WAYNE: "I'm not gonna see ya later this week over here at the mall, last-minute scramble?"
AARON: "Oh, I will be there, definitely will be there."
JACK AND NICHOLAS: "Hi Aaron, this is Jack.
AARON: "Jack!"
JACK AND NICHOLAS: "And this is Nicholas. Aaron! What's your favorite Christmas movie? Mine's a 'Christmas Story'. (they act out some movie scenes)
NICHOLAS: "How do you celebrate Christmas even though you're playing on Christmas?"
AARON: "That was awesome right there. I got distracted, what did Jack ask me? "My favorite Christmas movie is 'White Christmas', which we usually watch on Christmas Eve, and 'It's a Wonderful Life' on Christmas Day, so that's my second favorite. We're getting Christmas Eve off, we don't stay in the hotel, which is a nice treat from Mike, so I'm gonna have my mom and dad here for sure, and just relax and hopefully have some eggnog and probably watch 'White Christmas'.
CHRIS: "Hey Aaron! Nothin like some Christmas carols by the fireplace. By the way, what's your favorite holiday jingle?"
AARON: "Well Feliz Navidad is my favorite holiday song. For whatever reason. I swear it was on this old holiday record that, we used to have a record player long time ago, my dad
