Speedbusters
Coldspring Avenue in Greenfield
GREENFIELD- Some people in Greenfield are worried about their safety, so they asked "Speedbusters" to check out their street.
TODAY'S TMJ4's Jay Olstad found drivers going 15 to 20 miles per hour over the limit, on a neighborhood street.
On Coldspring Avenue in Greenfield, neighbors have a simple request, "please slow down and respect the speed limit."
But on that 25 mile per hour street, not a lot of drivers are listening
TODAY'S TMJ4 saw drivers consistently going way over the speed limit between 76th and 92nd.
They caught some cars going 45 miles per hour, which is 20 miles per hour over the limit.
Mike Cannistra sees it every day, he grew up on this street and his parents still live here.
"My parents are older. Going out getting the mail and that. You have to worry about it. Kids walking on the side of the street," said Cannistra.
TODAY's TMJ4's Jay Olstad says the big reason why people speed on that stretch is it's a straight away that you don't have to stop for 10 blocks.
