It’s Armed Forces Week in Milwaukee, and Saturday, you’re invited to say thank you at a special event.

The mission: to honor and acknowledge the people who are fighting or the people who have fought in our country.

Joe Cantafio is a performer at the event, and he appeared on Live at 12:30 to talk about the event.

Joe’s cousin, Ryan was killed just outside of Baghdad in 2004. Ryan’s death inspired a very special, yet heartbreaking song called “Brave Warrior.”

The event takes place in Veteran’s Park Saturday from noon to 4:00 p.m.
