Listening to Learn is Positively Milwaukee
MILWAUKEE - It's a place for intelligent talk from leaders all over the country. People like the senior editor of Newsweek or one of the top civil rights lawyers in the country. Local leaders attend the special seminars and get new ideas. It's all part of the Helen Bader Leadership series sponsored by Cardinal Stritch University.
Recently hundreds were on hand to hear from Connie Rice. She's been twice named as one of the top ten Lawyers in Los Angeles. Rice wants those attending to remember, "Its important to understand simplistic racial profiling is almost always wrong, but we need layered systems of profiling to fit into networks of security measures."
The Cardinal Stritch Leadership Center hosts the speaker series. It's motto, "lead, learn, and serve." Peter Holbrook is the Executive Director of the Center. He says,"It's really creating a dialogue, creating a conversation, and having people learn about how people can make a difference in their world with their leadership." Holbrook says,"I want people to walk away with a variety of ideas of what I can do to make my leadership more powerful."
And thanks to the Cardinal Stritch Leadership Center, Milwaukee area professionals are getting insights that put them in the best position to help our community shine.
