Milwaukee police sergeant raising money for abdominal cancer research

MILWAUKEE- A Milwaukee police officer who dedicated his life to serving us now needs our help.
The recruit class of the Milwaukee Police Department is on a mission to not only save our lives, but the life of a comrade.
They are training for a benefit run this weekend to help one of their own: Milwaukee Police Sergeant Sebastian Raclaw.
He is 35-years-old and has been with MPD for 16 years. He was recently diagnosed with a rare cancer that began in his appendix. He is now being treated for stage four abdominal cancer.
"Because of it being so rare...it doesn't get awareness. We cant find a cure...or find comfort and hope to others who are experiencing it," said Raclaw.
The married father of two young children has chosen not to accept direct financial support, but created a non-profit research foundation through the Medical College of Wisconsin.
And Sgt. Raclow feels blessed he's been able to return to work, and vows to do everything possible to see his beautiful young children grow up.
"I'm going to continue to fight and be here so I can walk that little girl down the aisle."
The run takes place Saturday at the Milwaukee Mile. It's sponsored by the Milwaukee Police Endurance Club and will help raise money for Raclaw's foundation for abdominal cancer research.
The one mile walk-run starts at 9 a.m. The 5k starts at 9:30 a.m.
