4 on your sideSecret Coupon CodesBy Courtny GerrishDon't push the button! Before you "click to buy" anything else... we'll show you secret coupon codes to save you money on almost everything you buy. For Lori Hurlebaus, a Germantown mother of two, surfing the Web isn't just a hobby, it's an adventure. "At night instead of watching TV I prefer to go on the Internet and try to find some fun deals and see what's out there," she told us. She showed us some of her favorite coupon codes like www.retailmenot.com and www.slickdeals.net. "Airlines, car rental, it's a wonderful site, and the public puts in the codes and they rate them to see if they're any good or not," she demonstrated. For example, www.retailmenot.com offers bargains on practically everything Lori buys. "Put in 'Special 20', that's your code," she demonstrated. We talked to Jon Olsen, a local blogger who writes "Milwaukee Consumer" and updates his site regularly with great deals. Olsen said coupon codes are one of the easiest ways to save. "There are thousands of coupon codes out there, you just need to look," she said. Some sites even let you enter multiple codes. For example, you could stack a 20% off coupon with a free shipping offer and maybe even get a free item to boot! Olsen said in this economy, coupon codes are more popular than ever. "Some people might have a hang up about using a coupon, but they get over it pretty quickly," Olsen said. Lori's bargains will help finance her family's next vacation. "We get to do a lot of things we don't normally do," she said. And that's a good deal. |
