I-Team: Interview With An ER Doctor

MILWAUKEE - Milwaukee's only level one adult trauma center saves thousands of lives each year.
TODAY’S TMJ4 was recently given extraordinary access inside the Froedtert and Medical College emergency department.
Last year, the ER saw more than 50,000 patients. Three-thousand of them were trauma patients.
On the day of our visit the flurry of activity was relentless. The crew worked together to treat a man crushed between a forklift and a car. We saw nurses, doctors and medical techs working long, often stressful hours to take care of all of us.
John Mercure was the reporter in the ER during our exclusive access, and he appeared on Live at 4:30 with Dr. Chris Decker, one of the teaching faculty at the Froedtert Medical College ER.
