I-Team: Deadbeats Follow Up

MILWAUKEE – Deadbeat parents continue to haunt the children they leave behind. These moms and dads ignore the courts, and refuse to do what’s right and pay their child support.

The TODAY’S TMJ4 I-Team introduced you to Amy Schenk. This deadbeat mom owes her two daughters almost $60,000. The I-Team tracked her down in Missouri where she continues to run and hide and neglect her children.

Then, there’s Jerrell English. This Milwaukee man owes child support to five different women. He makes up a lot of excuses, but doesn’t make many payments.

John Mercure has tracked down dozens of these guys in an investigation that has spanned two years.

Whenever the I-Team does these stories, we hear from lots of viewers.

“I think it’s great what you are doing to expose these parents. It amazes me everyday that these parents neglect their responsibilities.”

The I-Team agrees. It’s sad and we do the stories for the kids. Seventy-five percent of deadbeats we have profiled are now paying child support.

Jim from Chilton said “divorced parents need to stop punishing innocent children with child support.”

In the last 18 months, the I-Team has tracked down dozens of deadbeat dads and moms.

Now, we’re asking for your help.

We do these big investigations because of the kids, and now some kids in Dodge County need your help.

These are deadbeats that are running from their responsibilities to their own children. Kids in need, and the deadbeats that refuse to do the right thing.

Darnley Edghill is 37 years old. This deadbeat Dodge County man owes more than $58,000. Edghill wears glasses. In the past, he has worked as a certified nurse assistant and in local factories.

James Williams owes child support in Dodge, Price and Sauk counties, and the 44-year-old is wanted for more than child support. Williams has a warrant out of Colorado for child neglect.

Thirty-one year old Marie Gallert owes $15,000 in back child support. She may be in the Fond du Lac or Watertown area. Gallert has worked in fast food and for several temp. agencies.

Dodge County authorities are also looking for Jeremy Gentz. The 32-year-old has two kids and owes them more than $10,000. He has been spotted in Columbus and Beaver Dam.

The I-Team needs your help finding these deadbeats.

If you have any information on any of them, please email John Mercure at jmercure@todaystmj4.com. We will share the information with the proper authorities.
