Blue Ribbon Awards

MILWAUKEE – A staple for custard lovers and Chinese to go: two very different local restaurants that are keeping things clean in the kitchen get Blue Ribbon Awards. If you have a sweet tooth or a craving for Chinese, TODAY’S TMJ4’s Courtny Gerrish found two spots with a clean record. It was Customer Appreciation Day at Culver’s when TODAY’S TMJ4 stopped by. The $1 Butterburgers were flying out of the restaurant! “Everything that we do here is customer oriented,” Culver’s owner Brian Shecterle said. The franchise on National Avenue in New Berlin had a clean health inspection: something that doesn’t surprise the owner. "Chris is the manager of this restaurant and he does a fantastic job. He's been with us over 10 years now and every time the health inspector comes in, we're assured Chris has it under control,” Shecterle said. Culver’s gets our first Blue Ribbon Award. Jen Bo Chinese on 60th and Oklahoma in Milwaukee has been open for business more than three years now. Most customers like their order to go. Jen Bo gets the second Blue Ribbon Award for clean dining. TODAY’S TMJ4’s Courtny Gerrish: “We give this to you so you can put it up so customers know.” “Oh, okay. Thank you so much!” Click on the link under related content to see health inspection reports from Milwaukee restaurants.
