MILWAUKEE - Two local restaurants are doing things right in the kitchen!

Chan's Asian Cuisine on Lover's Lane and Silver Spring has been serving customers for just a year now, but the owner has been in the food business for 30 years.

"Everything have to be clean, neat and fresh," Owner Kwok Chan said.

For its clean health inspection, Chan's Asian Cuisine gets a Blue Ribbon Award.

"It's my honor to receive this award," Chan said.

Over on 68th and Oklahoma, LaVeer's has 30 cent wing night. You can also order up pizza and deep fried shrimp at the bar on the city's southwest side.

Cleanliness is the owner's specialty.

For that LaVeer's gets this week's second Blue Ribbon Award.
