MUKWONAGO - A family style restaurant has some problems at the salad bar.

Market Square Restaurant on County NN has cold food at the salad bar being kept too warm. The safe temperature is 41 degrees. Inspectors found cottage cheese, eggs and salad dressing at unsafe temperatures.

Mashed potatoes and gravy was not being kept warm enough. This is also something that could make customers sick.

Inspectors saw a dishwasher handling dirty plates and then clean ones without washing their hands.

Equipment was soiled and Market Square was ordered to clean things like microwaves, cooking equipment and a can opener.

The restaurant did fix some of its violations during the inspection. A follow-up is scheduled for this week. We left a message for the owner but did not get a call back.
