MILWAUKEE - Chicken made in a spotless kitchen and a popular bar taking extra steps to keep things clean.

Courtny Gerrish hands out two Blue Ribbon Awards for clean dining.

Golden Chicken on 68th and Villard. When you walk in the kitchen is right there for you to see.

"One reason I don't have it behind walls is because I want my customers to see everything when they walk in here. I want them to see how their food is prepared," Frank Host said.

Golden Chicken had a clean health inspection report, and gets the first Blue Ribbon Award.

"And I will post this out for everybody to see," Frank Host said.

Rosie's on north Water is a popular place to meet friends for a drink, and if you're ordering up some food, there's nothing to worry about.

"We definitely keep on top of it. We tear our kitchen apart once a week and completely clean everything," Owner Darrell Sanderson said.

Cleanliness is something owner Darrell Sanderson considers his responsibility.

Rosie's gets this week's second Blue Ribbon Award.

"We are proud of this award. That's really great. It's nice to get the recognition," Darrell Sanderson said.
