MILWAUKEE- This take out and delivery spot on the city's south side is well known for its fried chicken.  Now it has to clean things up in the kitchen.

Golden Chicken at 13th and Oklahoma: People love the fried chicken there, but the inspector saw an employee touch sandwich bread with bare hands,  a cross contamination risk.  There were no expiration dates on prepared food like coleslaw and a container of cheese sauce.  That cheese sauce was also sitting in the cooler, uncovered.

A pan of cooked ribs was covered with a plastic garbage bag.  There were flies in the kitchen.  The front door was open when the inspector stopped by.  Golden Chicken was ordered to keep the door closed and repair the gap in a screen door.

Raw chicken batter was splattered in the sink area, and employees were using a dirty drain board to wash and batter raw chicken.  The restaurant was also told to do some keep cleaning.

The owner did not want to go on camera but tells us everything has been handled, and he's disappointed in the report.  Most of the past inspections for this Golden Chicken have been clean.
