MILWAUKEE- Mouse droppings and some dead roaches at this spot just off Cathedral Square in Milwaukee.
New No. 1 Chinese Restaurant in the 770 North Jefferson building in Easttown. We were here in 2009; now this spot has a number of new violations and was fined. For things like a cook, handling raw meat and then touching customer's food without washing his hands.
There was no soap at two of the sinks, and cooked meat in a cooler was not kept cold enough. The owner wasn't there when we stopped by. So we left a message asking about the raw marinated chicken sitting in a cooler above a tub of sauce, a cross contamination risk.
Plastic shopping bags were being used to store food, and there were mouse droppings in a storage area and dead roaches in a hallway.
We never heard back from the owner on the violations at New No. 1 Chinese Restaurant.
