MILWAUKEE- A spot on Milwaukee's south side with a lot of issues in the kitchen, including a mouse problem.

Fiesta Garibaldi on 8th and Lincoln. We were here back in 2007. This time around prepared food, like cooked meat, with no expiration dates. The shelf life is 7 days.

Cleaning utensils kept in a pan full of debris. The restaurant was also storing cleaning brushes in that same pan. Inspectors found fruit flies and mouse droppings. Fiesta Garibaldi was ordered to provide effective pest control.

The slicer had dried debris on it. There were pans of uncovered food sitting in a cooler. There was no soap in one of the employee restrooms. A beverage cooler was running too warm at 58 degrees instead of 41.

Food containers and lids kept in storage areas were dirty, and Fiesta Garibaldi was ordered to do some cleaning of floors and walls which are also peeling paint and plaster.

The owner was not there when we stopped by, but we did hear from him through an interpreter. He says the restaurant is working on fixing its violations and will be cleaned up by the re inspection date.
