MILWAUKEE- It's a popular lunch buffet but this Korean eatery on the East Side has some problems in the kitchen. Here's what the owner had to say.

Seoul Korean Restaurant on Prospect Ave. just a few blocks south of North Avenue. The buffet had some problems.  Things like cold food kept too warm at 53 degrees.  The safe temperature is 41.  The inspector also found "there are flying insects in the customer self serve deli display."

Owner Hae Jin Park told us "this happened when I wasn't here."  She was reportedly on maternity leave when the inspector came in.  Park's mother was at the restaurant but doesn't speak much English.

Park assured us, "we always check the temperature, always." She claims it was the end of the lunch rush, the buffet was about to be cleared and there were no customers. She also says the restaurant has regular pest control and doesn't know why there was an insect problem.

The restaurant had debris in a "dirty" container of sugar.  The food processing equipment needed cleaning, and the grill utensils were also dirty according to the inspection.  And Seoul Korean was  ordered to clean inside the ice machine.

Park tells us they've fixed most of the violations and are waiting to be re inspected.
