Buying used verses new
MILWAUKEE - Are you hoping to save a few bucks by buying used verses buying new?
Before you spend your hard earned cash, you may want to take a few precautions.
You can save a lot of money if you buy something used verses new, but is buying used always a good idea?
Sometimes not.
When deciding which way to go, think about how long you will use the item, what kind of warranty is available, and how much will you save if you buy used.
If you need the item to last for awhile, have no warranty, and will not save much, you may want to consider buying new.
Before buying, do a search to be sure that you are not buying item that is not safe, or has been recalled, especially for health or safety reasons.
Keep in mind, in many cases, you are buying a product as is.
If it breaks or becomes unusable in a short period of time, you could be out of luck.
Many warranties are non-transferable and do not apply if you were not the original owner of the item.
We all want to get the best deal and make wise buying decisions, but before you buy used, make sure that you do your homework so that your used purchase does not end up costing you more than if you bought it new.
