This is National Small Business Week, and a number of resources are being offered to help you in you succeed.
What kind of resources are available?
Whether you have been in business for awhile or are thinking of starting one, agencies like the Small Business Administration, Better Business Bureau, and even the IRS have some great information on their websites this week to help you with everything from getting loans, avoiding scams, to doing tax planning that can help you along the way.
Some of these agencies also offer information and help with how to land contracts with government and big businesses.
What are some of the things that small businesses need to watch out for?
Keep in mind, if it can happen to a consumer, it can happen to a business.
• Watch out for phishing attempts, fake invoices, erroneous charges, and deals that seem to good to be true.
• Do your research before you enter into a contract or spend big bucks on products that may be turn out to be junk.
• Take extra security measures to protect your businesses' and customer's private information.
