Romney cancels West Allis appearance due to Hurricane Sandy
MILWAUKEE - GOP Presidential candidate Mitt Romney has canceled his appearance in West Allis today due to Hurricane Sandy.
President Obama also canceled his Green Bay appearance on Tuesday.
Romney spokeswoman Gail Gitcho says Romney is canceling "out of sensitivity for the millions of Americans in the path of Hurricane Sandy."
Romney's running mate Paul Ryan also canceled stops in Florida. He is scheduled to be back in his native Wisconsin to campaign on Wednesday.
With Election Day in eight days, polls in Wisconsin show both Mr. Obama and Mr. Romney neck and neck.
Each party sees Wisconsin voters as crucial to gaining enough electoral votes to win the presidency next Tuesday.
10 electoral votes are at stake in a close race across the country.
That's why we're seeing a major push from candidates coming through the Badger state.
