DANVILLE, KY-  The political focus Thursday night is on the vice presidential debate.

Centre College will be center stage for Thursday's debate between Republican challenger Paul Ryan and Vice President Joe Biden.

TODAY'S TMJ4's Charles Benson reports it's not like gameday for college football, but it's going to be pretty exciting.  He says MSNBC is there with its outdoor set.

Paul Ryan arrived in Lexington, Kentucky on the eve of his one-on-one with Joe Biden.  Apparently the Janesville representative has been prepping for this moment by pouring through policy books with his favorite disposable blue pen for notes and changes.

He expects the vice president to come at him like a cannon ball.

"Joe Biden has been on this stage before," said Ryan to CNN.  "He has been on these big stages. This is my first time.  But what he can't run from is President Obama's indefensible record.  They are just offering more of the same."

In speeches leading up to the debate, Biden has hinted he's not going to sit back and make the same mistake his boss made of not challenging his opponent.

"The centerpiece of their economic plan was giving what they called the job creators a bigger tax break," believes Biden.

We will be streaming the VP debate, which plans on starting around 8 p.m. CST.
