WAUKESHA- People in Waukesha were anxious to watch Paul Ryan's big speech Wednesday night.

Local Republicans held a party to celebrate Wisconsin's VP candidate.

TODAY'S TMJ4's Steve Chamraz reports that for the true believers in Waukesha -- this was the next best thing to being there.  As they had a chance to share in the energy -- and cheer on Paul Ryan.

A performance by Danny Gokey got the GOP faithful moving in Waukesha County.  Yet another chance to see Wisconsin perform on a national stage.

But it was Paul Ryan that drew Gladys Manke and nearly 100 other Republican supporters to the Waukesha Victory Center.

They celebrated this opportunity to spread the "cheesehead revolution" across the nation.

"We got a lot of heroes in Wisconsin, they're not afraid to stand up and do the right thing," said Ken Meske to TODAY'S TMJ4.  "And I think we're seeing examples of how the country appreciates that."

As much as she likes Paul Ryan's ideas -- Gladys Manke says it's his personal story that makes him so appealing.  And she hopes America appreciates him as much as she does.

"We know him really well, what kind of a man he is and how hard working he is.  I don't think the rest of the United States knows that.  I hope he can tell his story," said Manke.

Supporters at the Waukesha Victory Center want to turn their enthusiasm for Paul Ryan into more support for Mitt Romney.  Particularly in a state that hasn't gone Republican in a presidential election since Ronald Reagan.
