The chance for a few showers will redevelop Tuesday afternoon with highs in the upper 50s along the lake and mid to upper 60s west of Waukesha. A NE wind will cool the lakefront to near 50 by afternoon under a mostly cloudy sky.

The southeast Wisconsin, Waukesha and Milwaukee forecast for the rest of the daytime hours Monday should be quiet. Again, we're not going to get very warm thanks to the persistent breeze off of Lake Michigan. Get away from the Lake to warm up. Skies will be partly to mostly cloudy with highs will top out in the low-50's by Lake Michigan but low-60's well inland.

After a few early morning showers and isolated thunderstorms along the Illinois border and some patchy fog, we'll see partly to mostly cloudy dry skies. Temperatures will be warmer than Saturday but still cooler by Lake Michigan thanks to a constant light wind off the lake. Highs lakeside will top out around 56° but it will be much warmer inland, 62° in Waukesha and even 70s possible the further west you go. Tonight will be mild with mostly cloudy skies and low dropping only into the low 40s.

But the last day of this unforgettable month will actually be close to normal with highs in the upper 40s lakeside and 50s inland. We'll start off with more cloud cover and eventually see partly cloudy skies by the afternoon hours. Tonight temperatures don't drop too far, 44° in Milwaukee with a chance for a few showers and even a thunderstorm possible after midnight.

Tonight will be cloudy and cool and humid with low temperatures in the mid to upper-30's. The clouds will slowly break early on Saturday and the winds will go more southeast and that will start a warm-up in Milwaukee. Temperatures on Saturday will be around fifty degrees near the lake to around sixty degrees well inland. A warm front may bring a few showers or thunderstorms into southeast Wisconsin Saturday night or early on Sunday. The front passes through on Sunday bringing high temperatures into the seventies inland on Sunday.

Low temperatures will will bottom out in the mid to upper-30's and then rise a bit before dawn with the area of rain. Temperatures will remain cool on Friday with scattered showers or thunderstorms around mainly in the morning. Mostly cloudy skies will continue for the remainder of Friday and into Friday night. A warm-up returns for the weekend with mid-fifties and some sunshine on Saturday and high temperatures in the seventies on Sunday.

Tonight the winds start to calm down and under a mostly clear sky, temperatures will drop close to freezing inland, so some patchy frost is possible. Temperatures by the lake will only be slightly warmer, about 35 degrees in Milwaukee. Thursday will have plenty of sunshine but temperatures stay seasonably cool with highs in the forties near the lake and mid-fifties inland. The rain starts to move in late Thursday night with rain and thunderstorms possible and that pattern continues on Friday. We could see a half inch to one inch of new rain by Friday evening. The weekend is looking dry and warmer for Milwaukee.

The forecast for Milwaukee, Waukesha and SE Wisconsin is for sunshine, gusty NW winds and highs back in the 60s today before colder air returns tonight with the threat of patchy frost, especially away from the lake. With all the trees, shrubs and flowers budding and blooming, this frost could be damaging so cover up the plants you want to save. This won't be a hard freeze, but vegetation is very fragile right now.

The storms are staying south tonight so look for partly to mostly cloudy skies and mild air for Milwaukee. Wednesday will be a bit windy with high temperatures around 62 degrees. Skies will be clear to partly Wednesday night and temperatures will drop into the low to mid-thirties, which means frost is possible. Thursday will be cool again with sunshine and high temperatures in the upper-forties while rain rolls in for Thursday night and Friday.

After a quick punch of reality Monday, southeastern Wisconsin will return to the incredibly mild March weather we've seen this year. Temperatures jump up 20-25 degrees into the mid-60s today as a warm front moves through. It will be windy with southerly winds at 15-20mph, gusting over 30mph at times. A cold front follows quickly behind and will spark off a chance for showers and thunderstorms mainly after 2pm. Rain comes to an end tonight and skies will start to clear. Temperatures will be mild, in the 40s under a breezy SW wind.

Monday started off cooler than normal for only the fourth time this month, but more mild air rolls back in for Tuesday and Wednesday. The warmer air touches off a few showers Monday night and develops mostly cloudy skies for the same time period and also on Tuesday. Strong southerly winds will bring in warm air that will take temperatures into the middle sixties for Tuesday although the wind will make it feel a little cooler than that in Milwaukee. There is a chance for thunderstorms developing on Tuesday afternoon across southern Wisconsin. Mild air continues on Wednesday although again brisk westerly winds will make it feel a bit cooler than that for Milwaukee.

We have been so spoiled this March with summer weather, but the forecast for Milwaukee, Waukesha and SE Wisconsin is for temperatures back in the 40s and a brisk NE wind dropping wind chills into the 20s. Clouds will be on the increase and there is a slight chance for afternoon showers well west of Milwaukee.
